IBM has teamed up with the emerging social media platform Howdoo, and we’re delighted to be the provider of tools and services to help the blockchain-based start-up grow.

Howdoo is a revolutionary social media and content delivery platform built on fairness and transparency for users and content creators. Set for full launch early in Q1 2020, it combines every type of social media content on existing, including posts, blogs, streams, messaging and the sharing of images and videos. Users will be able to follow their favourite influences in one place, while having full control over sharing their personal data and accepting advertising. Content creators, meanwhile, will receive a fairer share of the revenue generated by what they produce.

IBM has signed on as a Howdoo launch supporter, alongside a range of established technology companies, and key stars and influencers across a range of interests. The platform will help us take our content and messaging to new audiences with better co-ordination across content types.

But just as importantly, working with Howdoo has also enabled us to help them with our innovative technologies and services. IBM have been fully testing the Howdoo app and site during its beta stage, while Howdoo have used the well-provisioned, secure and flexible IBM Cloud to build its infrastructure.

The partnership has also extended to Howdoo’s plans to grow the platform, leveraging IBM Watson Personality Insights to better understand and connect with four key prospective markets: users, content creators, advertisers and the crypto community. An example of the market research Howdoo have been able to conduct with IBM Watson is available here.

David Brierley, Howdoo’s founder and CEO, said, “We tested multiple environments but we felt IBM Cloud gave us the highest performing cloud infrastructure available for Howdoo. From our front-end website to our back-end Cloud container service, IBM is the ideal partner to work with as they can provide a flexible and global infrastructure. It’s been a pleasure to work with the IBM team and they’ve been incredibly supporting in helping us get the insights we were looking for.”

Make sure you join us on our Howdoo channel when the platform launches in early 2020, where we’ll have blogs, videos, insights and more. In the meantime, we’re offering $12,000 of free IBM Cloud credits so you can test our solutions for yourself.
